Black & Red Lentil Chili Recipe



Black & Red Lentil Chili Ingredients:

  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped bell pepper
  • Minced garlic, 6 cloves
  • Chili powder, 1 tablespoon
  • Ground cumin, 1 tsp.
  • Oregano 1 tsp.
  • Smoked paprika, 1 tsp.
  • Chile powder to taste
  • Rinsed black lentils, 1 cup
  • Red lentils ¼ cup
  • Vegetable broth, 4 cups
  • Soy sauce, 1 tsp.
  • Balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp.
  • Salt as to taste

How to make Black & Red Lentil Chili :

1. Saute the onions until brown and then add peppers and garlic, cook for a minute or two.

2. Mix the lentils and dry spices, mix vegetable broth and tomatoes.

3. Close the lid, set timer for 10 minutes on high pressure.

4. Wait another 10 minutes for pressure to release. Then open the lid. Add soya, vinegar and salt to taste.

5. Serve with cilantro.
