Chapati - Crispbread Recipe
Chapati is almost served every dish in India. Chapatis are indispensable as an Ayurvedic supplement
- 250 gr grain spelled flour
- 200 ml lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp oil
Put salt and flour into a large bowl, slowly add the lukewarm water and mix.
Remove the dough and knead for about 6 minutes on a smooth surface dusted with flour.
Then spray the dough with a little water, wrap it in a cloth and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
After 1 hour remove the dough from the refrigerator, knead it again and form 12 balls. These balls are dusted with flour and rolled out with a rolling pin to about 18 cm thick, thin fillets.
Place a pan (diameter 20 cm) on the stove and heat in 1 tsp of ghee. Once the fat is hot, place the first cake in the pan. Let it brown for 2-3 minutes from each side.
