Pay attention to the number of grams, I like to crochet tightly ???? The parts that I often crochet first are the smaller parts. Those parts are just a bit less easy to crochet. With German shepherd Rex I started with the arms, legs and tail. The ears Before I wanted to start on the head I crocheted the ears. That way I can grab them when I attach the eyes for a better view or if the placement of the eyes is correct. The ears are so nice, quite big! With a brush I applied some pink blush to the inside of the ears. I am not really satisfied with the inner ear. These have some ridges, too bad. The head The head is the most important part of crocheting the dog. If the head is a success, the dog is often a success. The head itself was easy to crochet. Only when putting it together I had some trouble with the eyes. Finding the right place was a bit tricky with the eye spots. But the ears were the most difficult. I really pinned the ears several times and put them back in place until I was satisfied. Tip: For a more intense look you can use white yarn to make a border around part of the eye. This way the eye is easier to see and your dog looks a little different :-).The body The body was familiar territory. Crocheting the body is a matter of not paying attention and just going :-). The only drawback was the black yarn, but with a good bright lamp it worked fine.

I don't like this so much, so I chose the standard sitting pose. I also placed the head at an angle to the body for an extra cute look.

This one is in the back of the crochet book. I embroidered the two white lines in the scarf with white yarn. Advertisement And then Rex was ready again. Not perfect, especially not the ears, but still I am very happy. He can go with the rest of the dogs I have already crocheted :-).
