Shell/body In colour 1. R1. 8 sc in MR R2. inc around (16) R3. (sc,inc)x8 (24) R4. (2sc,inc)x8 (32) R5. (3sc,inc)x8 (40) R6-7. sc around (40) R8. (in FLO) hdc in each st around (40) Slst fasten off hide tail (don’t worry if it’s a bit noticeable we will sew the head on this side later on). Change to colour 2. R9. insert the hook in BLO of R8 and sc around (40) R10. (3sc,dec)x8 (32) R11. (2sc,dec)x8 (24) R12. dec around (12) Stuff the body. R13. dec around (6) Fasten off and sew close.
Front fins In colour 2. R1. 8 sc in MR R2. inc around (16) R3. (sc,inc)x8 (24) Fold sides and sc across fasten off leaving a long tail.Back fins In colour 2. R1. 8 sc in MR R2. inc around (16) Fold sides and sc across fasten off leaving a long tail. Head In colour 2. R1. 8 sc in MR R2. inc around (16) R3. (sc,inc)x8 (24) R4-5. sc around (24) R6. dec around (12) Insert safety eyes between R3/4 opposite to each other. Stuff the head. Slst, fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Assembly Sew the head between R6-10 of the body, with R8 being in the middle (I usually attach it where we fasten off, R8 and start R9 to hide the imperfection that there might be). Sew the front finns on each side of the bottom of the body with the head in between.
