Materials: Yarn: Light Brown: 50g (1.75oz) Orange: 20g (0.7oz) Black: 10g (0.35oz) Cream: 10g (0.35oz) Crochet hook: 2.75mm Black safety eyes: 6mm Stuffing Tapestry needle Instructions: Body: Using light brown yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring. Close the ring. Increase round: Crochet 2 sc in each sc around. You’ll have 12 sc. Rounds 2-4: Crochet 3 rounds of 12 sc. Stuffing: Lightly stuff the body. Decrease round: Crochet 1 sc, then decrease. Repeat all around. You’ll have 10 sc. Round 6: Crochet 10 sc. Decrease round: Crochet 1 sc, then decrease. Repeat all around. You’ll have 8 sc. Change color to cream yarn: Round 4: Crochet 12 sc. Stuffing: Lightly stuff the head. Decrease round: Crochet 1 sc, then decrease. Repeat all around. You’ll have 10 sc. Round 8: Crochet 10 sc. Decrease round: Crochet 1 sc, then decrease. Repeat all around. You’ll have 8 sc. Close the opening and weave in ends. Mane:
Using orange yarn, chain 16. Row 1: Dc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain to the end. Turn your work. Row 2: Chain 2, dc in each dc across. Turn your work. Repeat Rows 2-3 until the mane measures approximately 1.5 inches from the base. Close off row and weave in ends. Ears (make 2): Using light brown yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring. Close the ring. Rounds 2-3: Crochet 2 rounds of 6 sc. Close the opening and weave in ends. Attach the mane to the back of the head, positioning it so that it covers the neck and shoulders. Sew on the ears to the top of the head, on either side. Sew on the black safety eyes. Optional: Using black yarn, embroider a small nose and mouth. Your tiny amigurumi lion is complete!
