Feet & Legs (Make 2 - Skin Color) The legs are worked from the feet up. In the reference image, they peek out slightly from under the dress. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6) Round 2: 6 inc (12) Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (18) Rounds 4-8: Sc in each st around (18) [5 rounds total] Round 9: (1 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (12) Stuff lightly, flatten the top opening, and sc 6 across both sides to close. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
3. Body & Layered Dress (White) To create the distinct layered, ribbed look seen in 1000106614.jpg, we will utilize BLO and FLO techniques. The body is worked from the bottom up. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6) Round 2: 6 inc (12) Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (18) Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (24) Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (30) Round 6: (4 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (36) Round 7: (5 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (42) Round 8: (6 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (48) Round 9: (7 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (54) Round 10: (8 sc, 1 inc) * 6 (60) Round 11: BLO: Sc in each st around (60) (The remaining FLO loops will be used later for the skirt ruffles) Rounds 12-14: Sc in each st around (60) [3 rounds total] Round 15: (8 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (54) Round 16: BLO: Sc in each st around (54) Rounds 17-19: Sc in each st around (54) [3 rounds total] Round 20: (7 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (48) Round 21: BLO: Sc in each st around (48) Rounds 22-24: Sc in each st around (48) [3 rounds total] Round 25: (6 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (42) Round 26: (5 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (36) Round 27: (4 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (30) (Stuff tightly with fiberfill) Round 28: (3 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (24) Round 29: (2 sc, 1 dec) * 6 (18) Round 30: Sc in each st around (18) Fasten off. The Skirt Ruffles Attach your white yarn to the left-over FLO loops on rounds 11, 16, and 21: Work 3 Dc (Double Crochet) into every single FLO loop all the way around the row. This dramatic increasing creates the heavy, wavy ruffles seen on the dress layers. 4. Arms (Make 2) Start with skin color, then switch to white. With Skin Color: Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6) Round 2: (1 sc, 1 inc) * 3 (9) Rounds 3-5: Sc in each st around (9) Switch to White: Round 6: FLO: Work 2 Dc in every stitch around to create the puffy cuff detail = 18 Dc Round 7: Go back to the unworked BLO loops from Round 6 to continue the arm up: Sc in each of the 9 loops (9) Rounds 8-18: Sc in each st around (9) [11 rounds total] Stuff very lightly, flatten the top opening, and sc across to close. Leave a long tail for sewing.
5. Textured Hair (White) The hair has a thick, wavy, rolling structure that can be emulated by making a wig cap followed by thick twisted strands. Wig Base: Repeat rounds 1 through 6 of the Head pattern using white yarn to create a base cap. Hair Strands: Once the cap is secured to the head, we create thick, rolled strands: Ch 25. Turn and work 3 Hdc (Half Double Crochet) into each chain stitch back to the start. This heavy increase naturally forces the strand to twist into a thick lock. For the bangs/fringe area in the front, shorten the chain length (Ch 10-12) and sweep them backward, pinning and sewing them into place as shown in the photo. 6. Wings (Make 2 - White) To get the layered feather look, crochet three tiered panels (Large, Medium, Small) and layer them on top of each other. Main Wing Piece: Ch 15. Starting from the 2nd ch from hook: 13 sc, 3 sc in the last chain stitch to turn. Work down the opposite side of the chain: 12 sc, ch 1, turn. Continue working in rows, using back-loop-only stitches while adding increases at the outer tip and decreases at the inner base to create a ribbed, feathered zigzag wing shape. Layering Pieces: Make a medium (Ch 12) and small (Ch 9) version using the same logic, then sew them stacked on top of the main piece to mimic the layered wings in the image. 7. Accessories (Roses & Star) Mini Hair Roses: Ch 15. Turn and work (1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc) into every chain. Roll the finished strip tightly into a spiral rose shape and sew the base to secure it. Attach to the hair alongside small green-chained leaves. Handheld Star/Flower: In a magic ring using orange yarn, work 5 petals consisting of: (Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st into the ring). Pull tightly to close. Embroider a small blue cross (X) in the center. Assembly & Finishing Head & Body: Sew the head securely onto the 18-stitch opening of the body. Insert a small neck support (like a thick wire or silicone tube) if needed to keep the head upright. Limbs: Sew the arms right below the neckline, angled slightly forward so they meet in front to hold the star flower. Attach the feet to the bottom base of the body under the bottom ruffle. Wings & Hair: Sew the completed wings symmetrically onto the back. Secure the hair strands with pins to get the framing right around the face before stitching down completely. Facial Details: Using a thin strand of black embroidery floss, add a tiny, gentle curved line centered below the eyes for a subtle smile.
