1. Head and Hair Construction The head is crocheted using the classic amigurumi technique, with a high concentration of increases at the lower section to give her those chubby, defined cheeks. Head Pattern Round 1: 6 Sc in MR Round 2: 6 Inc = 12 Sc Round 3: (1 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 18 Sc Round 4: (2 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 24 Sc Round 5: (3 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 30 Sc Round 6: (4 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 36 Sc Round 7: (5 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 42 Sc Round 8: (6 Sc, 1 Inc) * 6 = 48 Sc Rounds 9–18: 48 Sc (Crochet 10 rounds without changing) Insert safety eyes between rounds 16 and 17, leaving about 7–8 stitches of space between them. Round 19 (Cheek Shaping): 12 Sc, (1 Inc, 1 Sc) * 3, 6 Sc, (1 Sc, 1 Inc) * 3, 18 Sc = 54 Sc Rounds 20–22: 54 Sc Round 23: (7 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 48 Sc Round 24: (6 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 42 Sc Round 25: (5 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 36 Sc Round 26: (4 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 30 Sc Round 27: (3 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 24 Sc (Stuff firmly with fiberfill) Round 28: (2 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 18 Sc Round 29: (1 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 12 Sc Round 30: (2 Sc, 1 Dec) * 3 = 9 Sc (Leave a long tail for sewing to the neck). Hair Wig and Buns Wig Base: Crochet with yellow yarn following the same increase pattern as the head (up to 48 Sc). Sew it securely onto the head. Bangs: Attach yarn to the front of the wig base. Chain 10–12, work Hdc back down the chain, and style them diagonally across the forehead, securing them in place. Hair Buns (Make 2): 6 Sc in MR -> 12 Sc -> 18 Sc -> 24 Sc -> 30 Sc. Crochet 3 rounds of 30 Sc. Then do (3 Sc, 1 Dec) to bring it down to 24 Sc. Stuff lightly and sew to the sides of the head.
2. Arms, Legs, and Body Assembly The doll features a tall, fit anatomy, which requires a longer leg length. Arms (Make 2) Using skin color, make 5 Sc in MR. Crochet 5 Sc for 25 rounds. Stuff very lightly or insert a thin wire. Leave open to sew onto the body later. Legs (Make 2) and Body Joining Legs: Using skin color, make 6 Sc in MR. Increase to 9 Sc in the second round. Crochet 9 Sc for about 35–38 rounds to achieve the desired length. Insert a sturdy wire through the entire length of the legs. Joining: Position the two legs side-by-side. Chain 3 to connect them. Torso Base Round: 9 Sc (around first leg) + 3 Sc (along one side of the chain) + 9 Sc (around second leg) + 3 Sc (along the other side of the chain) = Total 24 Sc. Body: Crochet 3 rounds of 24 Sc. For the waist indent, decrease 1 stitch on each side (22 Sc). Crochet 12 rounds straight up towards the chest. At shoulder height, attach the arms to the body using 2 stitches on each side. Decrease around the shoulders using a (1 Sc, 1 Dec) sequence until you match the neck count of 9 Sc. 3. Clothing and Accessories Cropped Tube Top (Purple) Chain a length that fits snugly around the doll's chest (approx. 26–28 chains). Work 6 rows of single crochet (Sc) or half double crochet (Hdc) back and forth to create a rectangular piece. Join at the back by sewing or adding a tiny snap button. Add a small pink ribbon bow to the center.
Ruffled Tiered Skirt (Pink) A combination of double crochets and chains (mesh/lace style) is used to give the skirt its airy, voluminous look. Waistband: Chain a length that fits around the waist and join into a circle. Crochet 2 rounds of Sc. 1st Ruffle Tier (Work in FLO): Work 3 Dc into every stitch to create a heavy ruffle effect. On the next row, alternate (1 Dc, chain 2, skip 1 stitch) to create a lace/mesh pattern. Finish the edge by working 4 Dc into each chain space. 2nd Ruffle Tier: Attach your pink yarn to the remaining BLO (back loops) of the first row. Repeat the same ruffle process, but make this layer slightly longer so it peeks out beautifully from underneath. White Leg Warmers and Platform Shoes Leg Warmers: Using white yarn, chain a length slightly wider than the doll's leg (approx. 14 chains). Work in rows using BLO single crochets to create a ribbed texture. Sew the sides together to form a tube and slip them onto the legs. Shoes: Crochet an oval sole using pink and white yarn (Base: chain 6, crochet around the chain with increases at the ends). Work upward without increasing to form the structured platform shoe shape seen in image "1000103875.jpg".
4. Decorative Street Lamp Assembly To keep this lamp perfectly upright, you must wrap the crochet work around a rigid core, such as a thick plastic rod, wooden dowel, or heavy gauge armature wire.
1. Lamp Shade (Pink) Make 6 Sc in MR. Follow standard increases (12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48 Sc) to create a smooth dome shape. Once you reach 48 Sc, crochet 4 rounds without changing. For the wavy trim: Work in FLO, crocheting 2 Dc into every stitch to create the flounced edge at the bottom of the shade. 2. Light Bulb Section (White/Cream) Attach white yarn to the remaining BLO loops on the inside of the pink shade. Crochet 4 rounds of 48 Sc. Begin decreasing to taper the bulb: (6 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 42 Sc, (5 Sc, 1 Dec) * 6 = 36 Sc... Continue until you reach 18 Sc. Stuff firmly with fiberfill around your central support rod. 3. Lamp Post (Green) Switch to green yarn at the 18 Sc opening. Crochet in a continuous spiral of 18 Sc for the entire length of your support rod (approx. 40–50 rounds) until you reach the bottom. 4. Flared Base (Green and Pink) To help the lamp stand, widen the base by increasing: work a sequence of (2 Sc, 1 Inc) and gradually expand the stitches to form a cone shape. Cut a circular piece of thick cardboard or plastic to fit inside the very bottom of the base so it rests completely flat on surfaces. Embellishments (Flowers and Heart) Daisies: Inside a magic ring, alternate (chain 2, 2 Dc, chain 2, slip stitch into the ring) 5 times to form a 5-petal flower. Make several and glue or sew them along the green pole. Center Heart: Crochet a small standard amigurumi heart and attach it to the middle section of the pole. Final Assembly and Finishing Touches Head & Body: Ensure the neck stuffing is firm. Push the body wire up into the head. Securely attach the 9 Sc neck opening to the base of the head using an invisible mattress stitch. Arms: After putting on the purple top, sew the arms to the shoulders. Makeup: Use a little bit of pink dry pastel or real blush with a soft brush to add color to her cheeks, knees, and elbows. Ribbons: Sew or glue small pink satin ribbons onto the shoes, leg warmers, and skirt as pictured to complete this adorable aesthetic.
