Foody DaD is a video Center
1. Materials Yarns: Cream/White (for the head and some squares), Red, Green (two-tone options are possible), Orange (for the nose), Brown (for the arms). Crochet Hook: Suitable for the thickness of your yarn (usually 2.5 mm or 3.0 mm). Other: Black safety eyes, fiberfill, embroidery needle, and blush (for the cheeks). 2. Body (Patchwork Part) The most striking part of this snowman is its body. Instead of being crocheted in a circle, it's made of joined square pieces. Square Motifs: You will need to crochet approximately 12-15 small square motifs in total. Patterns: Snowflakes or stars are embroidered on the squares with white yarn. Some squares are crocheted directly in the center with a flower/leaf pattern. Assembly: Sew or crochet the squares together to form a sphere. Close the bottom with a flat base and the top by narrowing it to form the neck. Stuff it with fiberfill. 3. Head Construction The head is crocheted using the standard amigurumi technique (single crochet): Start with 6 single crochets into a magic ring. Increase in each row (12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48...) until you reach your desired head size. After crocheting a few rows without increasing, start decreasing and close the head. Nose: Crochet a small cone with orange yarn and sew it to the face. Eyes: Attach them just above the nose and embroider the mouth with black yarn. 4. Accessories Hat: Crochet a striped beanie with red and green yarn. Make a pompom with white yarn at the end. Add green leaves and red berries (Holly berries) to the edge. Scarf: Crochet a long strip using double crochet or rib stitch. A red and green stripe as in the picture will look harmonious. Arms: Create a "branch" effect by wrapping brown yarn around the wire or crocheting single stitches onto a chain.
