Head and Face Starting with skin tone yarn in a magic ring: Round 1: 6 single crochet (sc) in magic ring (6) Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around -> 6 increases = 12 sc (12) Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 18 sc (18) Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 24 sc (24) Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 30 sc (30) Round 6: (4 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 36 sc (36) Round 7: (5 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 42 sc (42) Round 8: (6 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 48 sc (48) Round 9: (7 sc, 1 inc) x 6 = 54 sc (54) Rounds 10 - 20: 54 sc (11 rounds even) (54) Note: Insert safety eyes between rounds 15 and 16, leaving about 8-9 stitches between them. Round 21: (7 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 48 sc (48) Round 22: (6 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 42 sc (42) Round 23: (5 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 36 sc (36) Round 24: (4 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 30 sc (30) Round 25: (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 24 sc (24) Round 26: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 18 sc (18) Round 27: (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6 = 12 sc (12) Round 28: 6 dec to close the opening, fasten off and cut yarn.
3. Legs and Shoes Starting with green yarn from the shoe sole: Chain 6. Starting from the 2nd chain from the hook: 4 sc, 3 sc in the last chain, working along the opposite side of the chain: 3 sc, 1 inc = 12 sc. Round 2: 1 inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc = 18 sc. Round 3: 1 sc, 1 inc, 3 sc, (1 sc, 1 inc) x 3, 3 sc, (1 sc, 1 inc) x 2 = 24 sc. Round 4: Working in BLO (Back Loops Only): 24 sc. Rounds 5-6: 24 sc (2 rounds even). Round 7: 6 sc, 6 dec, 6 sc = 18 sc. Round 8: 5 sc, 4 dec, 5 sc = 14 sc. Switch to skin tone yarn (Legs): Rounds 9 - 25: 14 sc (17 rounds of skin tone for the leg). After finishing both legs, join them with 3 chain stitches and continue to the body. 4. Body and Dress Bodice Start the body around the circumference created by joining the legs. Rounds 1 - 10: Crochet even with approx. 32-36 sc to shape the torso. Round 11 onwards: Gradually decrease towards the shoulders until reaching the neck (12 sc) and finish off. Bodice Detail: Using green yarn, embroider an X-shaped cross-lacing pattern on the front of the bodice to mimic a corset. Add lace trim around the upper neckline using white lace thread. 5. Arms and Gloves Starting with white yarn: Round 1: Magic ring with 6 sc (6) Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch -> 12 sc (12) Rounds 3 - 6: 12 sc (4 rounds) Round 7: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 3 = 9 sc (9) At this point, switch to skin tone yarn or continue as a white gloved arm. Crochet 9 sc for another 12-14 rounds for the arm length and sew to the shoulders. Add puffy ruffled white lace cuffs to the wrists.
6. Hair (Curly Spirals) Using brown yarn, crochet a wig cap base (in a single crochet beanie shape) to fit the head. Spiral Curls: Attach yarn to the wig cap base, chain to the desired length (e.g., 35-40 chains). Working back down the chain, make 2 or 3 double crochets (dc) into each chain to create a spiral/curly form. Repeat this process all over the cap base to achieve a voluminous, wavy hair look. 7. Skirts (Bottom Lace Skirt and Top Green Skirt) Bottom Layered Skirt (White): Using fine white yarn, chain a ring matching the waist width as a separate piece. Crochet tiered, ruffled lace skirt hems using a mesh double crochet technique. Top Skirt (Green): Start from the waist and crochet downwards in an A-line silhouette using green yarn. Add curved lace trims or edgings to the bottom hem as seen in the image so the white lace layers peek through gracefully. 8. Accessories (Hat and Handbag) Hat: Start with green yarn in a magic ring with 6 sc. Increase in circular rounds for the crown, and once wide enough, make wider increases outward to form the wide brim of the hat. Decorate with tiny white roses and a white feather. Handbag: Using brown yarn, chain 10-12 stitches and crochet a tiny box shape (joining with single crochets). Add a flap and a tiny button accessory in the center, then attach it to the doll's hand.
9. Assembly and Joining Details Internal Skeleton: Insert bendable wire through the body and legs to help the doll maintain its pose. Attaching the Head: Firmly sew the crocheted neck opening into the bottom opening of the head. Dressing: Put on the lower white layered skirt first, followed by the body and the green top skirt, securing them at the waist with stitches. Hair and Hat Assembly: Secure the curly hair symmetrically onto the top of the head. Sew the hat onto the head at a slight, elegant tilt. Final Touches: Fix the handbag onto the doll's hand and embroider the facial features to complete the doll.
