With light green yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring. Pull the magic ring tight to close. Increase. In the next round, crochet 2 sc in each stitch around (12 sc total). Continue crocheting in rounds, increasing one stitch at the beginning of each round until you have 18-20 sc total. Continue crocheting in rounds without increasing. Crochet 8-10 rounds of 18-20 sc each, or until the body is the desired size. Stuff the body firmly with stuffing. Decrease. Crochet 3-4 rounds, decreasing by 1 stitch each round. To make a decrease, crochet the two stitches together as one sc. Leave a long tail for sewing. Fasten off and cut yarn. Seed:Start with the magic ring. With dark green yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring. Pull the magic ring tight to close. Increase. In the next round, crochet 2 sc in each stitch around (12 sc total). Stem:With brown yarn, chain 5-6 stitches. Single crochet all the way down the chain. Continue crocheting in rows, turning at the end of each row and crocheting one single crochet in each stitch. Make the stem as long as desired. Fasten off and cut yarn. Assembly: Sew the seed to the top of the body, positioning it slightly off-center. Sew the stem to the top of the body, next to the seed. If using safety eyes, attach them to the body. Embroider a small mouth with black yarn (optional). Tips:You can adjust the size of the avocado by using a different yarn weight or crochet hook size.
