Materials List Yarns: Main Color (Pink): For the bag body, hat, and upper dress. Skin Color (Beige / Cream): For the face and neck. Dark Brown: For the hair. Dark Green: For the hat brim trim, dress ruffles, and flower petals. Crochet Hook: Appropriate size for your yarn (usually 2.0 mm - 2.5 mm is preferred for amigurumi and bags to keep the texture tight and firm). Accessories: Pearl beads (for the necklace, the center of the hat flower, and strap decorations). Pearl-detailed snap button or magnetic bag clasp (for the flap closure mechanism). Metal D-rings, strap adjuster buckles, and swivel lobster clasps for the bag strap. Fiberfill stuffing (optional, to give slight volume to the nose and facial features). Tapestry needle and scissors.
1. Bag Body (Pouch Base & Body) The bag is typically started by chaining according to smartphone dimensions (e.g., approximately 18–20 cm in height, 10–12 cm in width), working around the chain in single crochets (SC) to form an oval base. Base: Chain about 20–24 stitches. Work around the chain in single crochet to create an oval base. Increase 2–3 times at the corners in each round to bring the base to the desired width (approx. 42–46 stitches total circumference). Body Walls: Work evenly without increases until reaching the desired height (approx. 17–19 cm), then fasten off. Flap Tab: Pick up stitches from the top-center back of the bag and work downward toward the front to create a flap. Decrease at the edges to round the tip, and sew a button/pearl onto it. 2. Girl Figurine Parts and Instructions A. Face and Neck (Skin Color) Face (Head): Start with a magic ring and make 6 single crochets (SC). Round 1: Increase in every stitch (12 stitches). Round 2: (1 SC, 1 increase) repeat (18 stitches). Round 3: (2 SC, 1 increase) repeat (24 stitches). Rounds 4–8: Work 24 SC evenly around. Note: Eyes are embroidered closed with long eyelashes (or embroidered using fine black thread). Lips are embroidered with red thread to give a plump look. Neck: Pick up stitches from the bottom center of the face and work downward about 6–8 stitches wide for 3–4 rows straight to form the neck. B. Hair (Dark Brown) The hair is worked to cover the upper and side portions of the head, then secured in place. For the wavy hair strands falling over the shoulders, chain and work double crochets to create curly hair strands, then sew them down layer by layer on both sides of the neck.
C. Hat (Pink with Green Details) The hat consists of a dome that fits over the head and a wide brim extending outward: Hat Crown: Start with a magic ring of 6 SC. Increase in each round accordingly (12, 18, 24, 30, 36 stitches) to reach the head size. After working a few straight rows, work through the front loops only for the brim, increasing in every stitch to flare it out. Green Trim: Work a single round of single crochet in green yarn along the lower edge of the hat. Shape the brim to have a graceful curve and sew it onto the head at a slight tilt. D. Flower on the Hat Center: Using yellow/cream yarn, make 6 SC in a magic ring and sew small pearls around it. Petals: Using green yarn, make 5 or 6 tiny petals (using popcorn stitches or groups of SC) in a magic ring to form the flower base. Add pink petals on top to create a layered flower, and attach it to the right side of the hat. E. Dress and Ruffles (Pink and Green) Upper Dress: Starting right below the neck, work in pink yarn in a semi-circular shape that fits over the shoulders and chest. Ruffles: To create a layered ruffle look toward the hem of the dress, work double crochets into chains using green and pink yarns to form wavy ruffle strips. Sew these strips overlapping each other to achieve a voluminous neckline/bodice. Complete the detail by sewing a pearl necklace onto the neck area.
3. Assembly Instructions Placing the Figurine: First, pin the skin-colored face and neck securely to the exact center of the front surface of the bag, then stitch it down cleanly using invisible stitches. Adding the Hair: Position and sew the brown hair pieces over and around the sides of the head. Secure the wavy strands so they fall nicely over the shoulders. Attaching the Hat: Position the hat on the head at a slight tilt and secure it to both the bag surface and the head. Sew the flower onto the upper right corner of the hat. Attaching the Dress: Sew the upper part of the dress right below the neck with the ruffles facing downward. Complete the assembly by stitching a pearl necklace around the neck zone. 4. Bag Strap Using a tight stitching technique (or tubular chain/single crochet method), crochet a thick strap of the desired length. Weave a thin green strip through the center of the strap or frame its edges with green single crochets. Decorate the strap by sewing pearl beads at regular intervals. Attach the strap to the sides of the bag body using metal D-rings and swivel hooks fastened at the ends.
